Presentation of Révolution Permanente

Révolution permanente (RP) is a French Trotskyist political organization, founded in 2022 as the French section of the Trotskyist Fraction - Fourth International. It originated from the Courant communiste révolutionnaire (Revolutionary Communist Current - CCR), a tendency of the New Anti-Capitalist Party (NPA), of which it was a part until 2021. At the 2018 congress, the leadership of the NPA, heir to the Revolutionary Communist League (LCR), obtained a relative majority. It was therefore the target of significant internal criticism, notably from the CCR, which accused it of wanting to get too close to the party La France insoumise and of moving away from the revolutionary line, in favor of simple reformism.
A congress aimed at founding the organization was organized on December 16, 17 and 18, 2022. At the end of this gathering, Révolution Permanente officially became a political organization.
The organization has a youth collective, called Le Poing Levé (LPL).
